My portfolio gallery spans my entire digital career. I reflected upon my beginnings at Walt Disney Studios where, as a friend instructed me: you must learn Illustrator, no ands ifs or buts. Learning the techniques of Bezier drawing gave me countless headaches. It paid off. Most people can’t believe that my Illustrator work is not a photograph. It was fun composing my first direct email piece for GSN, it was a promotional for The Elvira Sweepstakes. The only image of Elvira provided was a 6’ tall standee. This had to be scanned in pieces on an 8x12” scanner and re-assembled in Photoshop, what a task! What can I say about banners? Trying to squeeze the most effective message into the smallest file size – and including animation. My hurdles included the clean import of Adobe Illustrator artwork into Macromedia Flash – and keep the same high quality I expect in my work. In learning that step I was able to develop and produce some fun Flash projects.
